Except for a few things that I had an issue with, this book was quite good and entertaining to read. I didn't even know that this book came in a series. Once I started reading the book, I couldn't put it down. I wanted to read it all the time. I enjoyed learning about the Amish religion and how they view things. Before this book, I didn't know anything about the Amish religion.

My two complaints is that Amish people believe things that is not true in the bible. They may think they are following the bible in all aspects but they are not.

My main issue was that in the character in this book was going through some rough times and thought it was because GOD was causing her suffering and that is simply not true. GOD is a loving GOD and you can find that in the bible. And unforeseen occurrences happen as well, and you can't blame GOD for all of that. In the bible, in the book of James, Chapter one and verse 13 it clearly states" When under trial, let no one say, "I am being tried by God." For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone."

My second issue was that the Amish people believe that GOD brings people to heaven when they die. That is simply not true. When you die, you are simply sleeping. There is no heaven or hell that you go to. Which can be found in the bible in ecclesiastics. In ecclesiastics it says in chapter 9, verse 5: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.”

Other than that I truly enjoyed the book and would read another one by this author again. I just wish in the future people would actually read the bible and see what is honestly being said and not just twist the scriptures to fit their beliefs.
